Description

Vatican City is a city-state with a population of around 800 People, it is the smallest independent state in the world by both population and area. It is the sovereign territory of the Holy See and the location of the Pope’s residence, referred to as the Apostolic Palace.

Vatican Museum

The Vatican Museum is located inside the holy city and was founded by Pope Julius II in the 16th century.

Among numerous wonderful treasures collected by the church throughout time.

The itinerary includes the Pio Clementino Hall, the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere, the Maps Gallery, the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestries Gallery and the Sistine Chapel to admire the breathtaking frescos by Michelangelo, one of the most celebrated masterpieces in the world.

Basilica di San Pietro

The tour will then proced to St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest Church in the World and one of the holiest sites of Christendom in the Catholic tradition. It’s name is derived from the burial site of Saint Peter who was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus.

Inside of the Basilica we will admire moreover “The Pietà”, Michelangelo’s masterpiece carved when the artist was only 24 y.o. and the impressive Baldachin Altar by Bernini.

Tour ends in the suggestive St Peter’s Square, dominated by Michelangelo’s imposing Cupola and surrounded by the famous Bernini’s double Colonnade.

IMPORTANT:

  • The Museum requires that wheelchair bound clients follow a different itinerary and aren’t allowed to join our regular tour.
  • It is not permitted to enter Churches in shorts, uncovered shoulders, miniskirts.
  • It is forbidden to bring into Museum metal objects, backpacks, umbrellas.
  • Should St. Peter’s Basilica be closed for religious ceremonies, the tour will instead include the visit of Raphael’s rooms.

HOW TO BOOK?

    • Once the booking process is complete, you will receive an email response which will be subject to verification and availability.
    • In the following confirmation e-mail you will find all the information relating to the tour booked.
    • We advise you to book at least 48 hours in advance, for requests less than 24 hours contact us by phone to check availability.


TERMS OF PAYMENT:

  • At the time of booking confirmation you will be asked to pay the full amount.
  • Payment must be made with paypal or credit card.
  • Store and present the reservation voucher as a receipt before starting the tour.


CANCELLATION: not provided.

Once booked, it is not possible to cancel and ask for a refund of the tour.
